A Cooler Day On Tap

After a almost record breaking temperature Sunday both for the low and high temp yesterday. The 96 degree high temperature came with in 3 degrees of the daily record high. That coupled with the high humidity made it feel well into the 100 degree territory. The weather service offices around our area in both Milwaukee and Davenport Iowa issued heat advisories even though they experienced lower temperatures than Chicago. How ever I believe the forecast office in Chicago should have issued a heat advisory but did not for what ever reason especially since they encompass at least 10x the population of those 2 other forecast offices. It’s an example of forecaster discretion and sometimes they are wrong in using it. Today will be cooler 84-88 degrees but still humid to start the day but will dry out as the day progresses .
