My friend Chief Meteorologist Mark Henderson from WIFR-TV channel 23 In Rockford, IL came up with an amazing stat the other day that I will pass on. In Rockford there have been only 9 previous July’s with every day in the month recording an 80+ degree day. This year from the looks of things will be #10 baring something unforeseen. In those previous 9 Years where July made an 80 degree or higher high temp reading the months that followed in August and September combined for an avg of 14 90’s. So if you are hoping that we were done with the heat this year because you see a cooling trend well the statistics say other wise.
