Chicago Doubles Normal 90 Degree Day Count

Early morning conditions slowed the warming of the day with clouds and easterly winds but yet in the final hours of heating of the day we managed to squeak out a 91 degree high temperature. This is now the 28th time this year that the mercury has soared above the 90 degree mark. Normal number of 90s in a season is 14 at Ohare field. There are more 90s in the forecast through Friday. This would bring the count up to 32 days. Seeing as warm this summer has been sitting at the warmest all time combining June July and August, I would not doubt that we were to see more 90s in September as well.
