Severe Weather Fails to Materialize
The Severe weather that was in the forecast from the storm prediction center failed to materialize into much of anything. The Early read from the Storm Prediction Center in Norman Oklahoma, had us in an Enhanced Risk for Severe weather. That enhanced risk in the late morning analysis was pulled off and left us in just a slight risk categorical analysis from their office. As the Day progressed the storms began to fall apart coming out of Iowa where there had been a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Eastern Iowa / Western Illinois Region. As the storms moved in they dissipated in quick fashion. Their collapse provided quite the stunning display across the region. Tomorrow Saturday looks to be quite a fabulous day with temperatures and humidity on a sharp decline. Temperatures are expected to be 12 to 15 degrees cooler than Friday day time temperatures across the Chicago Metro Area. A beach hazard will be in effect but no one should be in the water due to the Covid 19 In Chicago.
