A Very Cold Arctic Air Mass will push into the Great Lakes and into the eastern United States by Christmas Day. This cold will be one of the strongest cold air masses that we have dealt with in some time as the majority of the eastern us does not have much snow cover. This includes the Lower Great Lakes Region as well as anything to the south of the region as snow in this part of the country has been in short supply this year. Which makes this air mass even more impressive with bare ground. Wind Chills here in the southern Great Lakes Region will be well below zero at this time.
